Francesca Brooks is a writer and researcher, living and working in Manchester. Her first book, Poet of the Medieval Modern: Reading the Early Medieval Library with David Jones, was published in 2021 by Oxford University Press and won the University English Book Prize 2022. From 2020-24 she was Leverhulme Early Career Fellow at the University of York.

Francesca’s poetry and essays have been published with PN Review, gorse, Tentacular, and Propel Magazine, amongst others. Her collage poems appear in 3AM Magazine’s Poem Brut series, From Glasgow to Saturn, and were featured in Ink, Sweat and Tears’s Word and Image series. In 2021 she was longlisted for Primers 6 with Nine Arches Press.
